The scene starts with Agent Ingrid Parks, walking through a woodland area, an inner monologue of what she's thinking is heard by the audience. She sees a red ribbon tied to a tree with a card tag on it, she walks up to it and reads the tag before crumpling in her hand and leaving the forest.
The next shot is of her Target in her home, researching Vampires, it becomes apparant that she has seen Vampires and plans on contacting someone about and/or catching one. The scenes go to and from Agent Ingrid Parks gearing up to the Target researching Vampires and reading through books etc.
It comes to the end of the opening sequence with Agent Ingrid Parks having killed the Target, with a gun and not by biting her, we then see her burning any and all information about Vampires that the Target had found, in the fireplace. As Agent Ingrid Parks watch the information burn she smiles, revealing a set of fangs, thus concluding that she is a Vampire Assassin. It is then that the film title flashes up and the film begins.
