My Preliminary Task

This is my preliminary task - I had to film a person walking down a corridor/room, see them opening the door, walking through into the other room and for them to sit down at the table and have a conversation with another person waiting at the table. In this video I have used medium shots, over the shoulder shots, mid close ups, close ups and tracking/movement shots - I find that I have used these shots successfully and that I have kept the continuity strong in this piece for example, while filming Tom opening the door we made sure he was holding the door handle with the same hand as we cut and changed position of the camera and filmed them walking into the room. The room that we filmed in was isolated so things such as surrounding areas or people in the background didn't ruin the continuity of the video. Something we had to look out for was that, in the room that we filmed in, the heating was on high and that Tom wanted to take his coat off however we knew that it would cause an error while editing, to solve this Tom made taking his coat of part of the film. Sarah also had to make sure her pen, note book and phone were in the same place as they originally were in the previous shot.
