Filming Post Four

Shot 21 Problems - I found in later filming that my sister became nervous when the camera could see her face, in a previous shot which only took one take (shot 4) an over the shoulder shot is used and my actor felt completely fine with it. The problems that my actor had in this shot was that she was unsure in how she should answer and argue over the phone, however once I informed her that no sound would be present during this shot she became more confident and, after the third take, I had a perfect shot.

Shot 23 Problems - The timing with this shot became a problem; we wanted there to be a slight pause between putting the mobile down and to when there was a knock at the door. The way we rectified this problem was with the sound cue from me to the actor, a beat after the phone goes down - 'Doorbell' - my actor looked up and the desired shot actually worked.

Shot 15 Problems - This shot was not part of the video due to editing errors however, in shot 15 the victim writes on the paper board of vampire information. The problem that occurred was that the pen that the actor used didn't work and, since this seemed a main part of the shot, we had to cut and replace it with a Biro.

Shot 24 Problems - This was one of the trickiest shots we had to film; my actor had to look past the camera to the door as if I wasn't there filming. It was quite off putting for my actor however we managed to solve this problem by allowing my actor to focus on the door handle in stead of directly addressing the camera.

Shot 24 (Plus One) Problems - This is an extra shot that was not involved with the story board until the actually day of filming. The shot takes place outside the victims home and films the victim looking right then left to check who was there. The problem we had here was that my actor was unsure on to when to open the door so I created a cue by waving my arm, this however put the actor off and made them laugh on the spot thus creating another problem.
